Keep Bandage On

Keep your bandage on your tattoo for 2-3 days.

Remove your bandage under warm running water in a stretching motion, flush against your skin (like a command strip)

Clean It Up

After removing the bandage your tattoo is still healing!

Be sure to gently wash your tattoo 1-2 times daily or as needed, with antibacterial soap to prevent infection during the remainder of the healing process.

Moisturize

Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor with clean hands for at least 1-2 days after removing the bandage.  Continue using a quality lotion daily to keep your tattoo looking its best.

Sun Protection

The sun can be a tattoos worst enemy. Be sure to apply a premium waterproof sunblock to your tattoo if you plan on exposing it to the elements.

Common Signs of Healing

It’s normal for your tattoo to go through various stages of healing, including:

  • Redness or Swelling: This is typical immediately after getting the tattoo and should subside within a few days.

  • Peeling or Flaking: This usually happens after 3-5 days as the skin starts to regenerate. Let it happen naturally.

  • Itching: As the tattoo heals, it will itch. Resist the urge to scratch to avoid damaging your tattoo.

  • Faded Color: The tattoo may appear slightly dull as the top layer of skin heals. This is normal, and the color will become vibrant again once healed.
